Week 1: Elements of Fiction

We'll continue working with the essential concepts and vocabulary we need to have shared knowledge of in order to deepen our ability to discuss the literary works we read. This week, you will read a chapter from the course textbook, and take reading notes to help you capture information and have a tool for discussion in class. We will continue to discuss "A Rose for Emily" and we will read another story (or two) with each other, and then discuss and write. You will be checking out The Round House, and Hamlet, and we'll begin working with Hamlet on Monday of next week.
